I have a small maple (about 18" tall with reddish leaves) that came up just after mothers day in a flower garden my daughter and I planted for my wife just outside our apartment window. It's October now & time to remove the flowers; Because we live in an apartment & the tree is close to the building, it can't stay where it's at, & I don't want to kill it, what are my options? Can I bring it indoors, leave it until spring then move it???

Greetings Bill:

I suggest keeping the small maple seedling in the flower garden until early next spring -- then transplant it to a suitable location.
