i HAVE TWO CUT LOGS 13'L X 15'' D PERFECTLY STRAIT AND SOLID. MY SON STRIPPED THE BARK OFF LAST YEAR AND LET THEM SIT OFF GROUND OUTSIDE WOULD THIS DESTROY THE WOOD? AND CAN I SPLIT THEM FOR A RUSTIC FIRE PLACE MANTAL? I WOULD HATE TO SELL SOMETHING THAT COULD LOOK GOOD IN MY HOME.

Greetings David:

Black walnut has very good decay resistance so these logs should be just fine--go ahead and utilize them accordingly!
