Tree with 2-inch Seed Pods (IL)

found a tree with small seed pods about 2 inches long. pea green in color. wondering what family they came from{like locust etc}

Hi Vicki: I need more information--please email me digital pictures of the tree and the seed pods. More than likely, the tree will be from the plant family "Fabaceae".
