We transplanted a relately young crimson maple tree 2 years ago -height is approx. 15ft. This year in the Spring, the only leaves are on the left hand side, where the branches and trunk meet. Rest of the tree hasn't any leaves just branches. Can this tree be saved? Or should it be removed?

Greetings Patrick:

Tree-specific vigor, insect, or disease questions often require on-site assessment and evaluation by a forester, ornamental horticulturist, or certified arborist. Therefore, please contact your local UI Extension office or a certified arborist for an on-site assessment as I cannot assist you via this forum.

Best of luck!
