I have a pin oak that is approx 4ft and diameter and has a clear run of 30 ft I would like to know if you know any company that would remove the tree for free for the lumber? Some of the branches are dying and although new branches develope in the spring I think it is time for this old favorite to go.

Greetings Paul: Please contact your local state forestry agency to assist you with this request. However, I'm not sure how successful you will be in finding a company to remove your pin oak tree in exchange for the lumber. Granted, it is worth a shot if you're willing to make a few phone calls.
