How can I tell what type of oak tree I have?

Hi Pete: Several really simple options: use the infinite resources of the World Wide Web, or take a leaf, twig, and acorn sample to your local UI Extension office for identification by a horticulturist or Master Gardener. Alternatively, you can email me high-resolution digital photos of the tree's bark, twigs, buds, leaves, and fruit.
