Do I have to scarificate(i think it's called) red maple seeds and then stratificate them to get them to germinate?

Greetings Anthony:

Red maple (Acer rubrum) seed form early in the spring and ripen/drop soon after; thus, red maple seed do not require dormancy or stratification.
