I have a large silver maple in my yard that needs to be cut down. It is very close to my neighbor's property line. I have recd 2 estimates to have the tree cut down and hauled away. Over the weekend, someone mentioned that I can sell the tree for lumber to a saw mill. Which might save me some money. Can you let me know if this is true? And if so, can you tell me the steps to do it?

Unfortunately, you're simply not going to find anyone to "pay" you for an urban silver maple tree--just isn't going to happen.
