Is the bald cypress a deciduous tree? Is it compound bipinnate, or simple?

Baldcypress is a native, deciduous conifer (just like our native tamarack).

Baldcypress has needle-like leaves that are two-ranked and alternately arranged. Dawnredwood, a similar-looking species, has needle-like leaves that are two-ranked and oppositely arranged.
