What is making soft maple sick. Is it a blight or soil condition or what. I have seen this all around east central il and west central indiana Thank you

The cause is likely environmental. Last year's terrible drought will likely have lasting effects on tree health and vigor for years to come as evidenced by the sheer number of homeowner phone calls I've already over the last 1.5 months.
