Request for On-site Tree Health Assessment

Hello,

We have several weeping willow trees, two of which are scheduled to be removed by the City of Algonquin, in order to complete a renovation of creek bed on our property and others downstream. The third willow, though, is one which is scheduled to remain. My question is if there is someone who can inspect the tree to give us a fair assumption as to whether it's a healthy tree to be left standing, at this time, or if it should be removed. It is the closest to our house, but appears to be healthy. Is there a free service that is available for this type of thing? Thank you.

Hi Beth:

Unfortunately, University of Illinois Extension does not have the capacity to provide on-site technical assistance to Illinois' 3.15 million homeowners.

Your best bet is to contact a certified arborist: http://illinoisarborist.org/services-we-provide/find-an-arborist/
