Value of Mature Black Walnut Trees in Missouri

I have a person offering me $3K for 26 mature, veneer-quality black walnut trees.

I am out of state and cannot check validity of market price. My old growth grove is in Missouri. This price seems radically underpriced. Am I getting snookered?

Hi Lou:

Based on some simple math, that equates to $115 per tree. Are you getting snookered? Yeah, big time if in fact these trees are indeed veneer quality!

There is, however, an easy solution Lou: Immediately contact a professional consulting forester in Missouri to help you appraise these trees based upon the individual tree's diameter, merchantable log length, grade, and volume.

Get a professional forester involved -- you won't regret it!
