Red Oak Trunk Sizes

Very silly question that I hope you can help with. I am working on a special project for Quarter Sawn Red Oak. I am trying to calculate the yeild from logs to produce an 8" Quarter / Rift Sawn Plank. Can anyone help with the useable trunk height of a Red Oak. Also what is the average trunk diameter for felling.
