Now that the snow is melting I noticed my two 20 ft. douglas fir trees are turning shades of brown. Is this because of the long cold winter. My colorado blue spruce tree,s show no signs of needle browning. Is there a spray for this condition?

Hi Paul:

Diagnosis, of course, is paramount to identifying the cause of this tree's browning foliage. Spraying a tree arbitrarily to cure something unknown is like asking your physician over the phone to prescribe you prescription meds without being properly diagnosed.

Therefore, I would strongly encourage you to contact a certified arborist for an on-site assessment of this tree:

Best of luck!
