Baby Maple Seedlings all over My Yard

I have millions of sprouts all over my lawn this spring. Must be from last year. How do I get rid of them?

Hi Pam: I would encourage you to mow them throughout the growing season so as to exhaust the young seedlings' root reserves. You may have to resort to a broadleaf-selective herbicide to control these maple seedlings; however, consistent mowing is generally effective on small- to medium-sized lawns.
