Where to Purchase Black Walnut Trees (NJ)

Does anyone have advice where to buy a black walnut tree anywhere in NJ?

I had an 80 ft one in my back yard that had died (e.g. hollowed out inside) and need to be cut down as it was coming down on its own in chunks in my yard which was becoming dangerous and “inconvenient” as the falling sections of the tree were taking my fence, electricity, neighbors garage, repeatedly. I was very very sad to have to do it but had no choice.

I now want to buy a new one. Any suggestions on where to buy a nice one in NJ?

Matt...try contacting your local Rutgers Cooperative Extension office for a list of tree nurseries that specialize in native plants.

Alternatively, you can contact your state forestry agency, the NJ Forest Service, and request the same information.
