I was told that I can make lots of money with a plantation of black walnut. From $ 10,000 to $ 55,000 for trees 35 years. Is that true? And where I can confirm this information?

Hi Charles:

Are you wanting to plant black walnut (Juglans nigra) in Maine, for timber production?

If so, I would strongly encourage you to reconsider as Maine is definitely outside the prime growing region for black walnut.

For more information about growing black walnut, please consider the following sources:

Best of luck!
