How would I know if a black walnut tree in my yard (27 yrs old), 80 ft tall and 13" in diameter would be a tree anyone would be interested in for wood purposes, ie., woodworkers or other lumberyards?

You're not likely to find anyone expressing much interest in a 13-in diameter black walnut tree as you can't get much lumber volume from such a small diameter tree.

Please contact a local state or university forestry specialist in your home state of Connecticut for additional information -- use the Web to locate that contact information.
