Do acorns ned to be picked up from the yard. If left on ground do they damage anything grass or other plant life. Will they disseminate by spring?

Thanks Wayne

Hi Wayne:

Acorns from the white oak family will germinate in the fall (if they are viable). Acorns from the red oak family will germinate in the spring (if they are viable and remain that way).

No, they do not damage grass or other plant life. Do you need to pick them up -- only if their presence aggravates you :-)
