Tree Removal and Flooding (IL)

My townhome association removed two very large evergreens from my property. They did not fill in the holes properly and my basement flooded. I was wondering if not filling in the holes had anything to do with the amount of water that surrounded my foundation. The trees were near the house.

Hi Janice:

It may be nothing more than coincidence; however, there's absolutely no way I can make an intelligent comment without an on-site inspection.

Therefore, you will need to contact a certified arborist for an on-site assessment. You can find a certified arborist through the Illinois Arborist Association:

Best of luck!

Dear Janice

Was the matter resolved to your satisfaction? Was the damage found to be due to the removed trees? Hope you were able to reclaim some of the damage remediation costs from the townhome association.

Best Regards Jake
