Cluster of Black Walnut Trees

I have three black walnut trees growing in a triangle with about 4 feet between them , about 30 ft. Tall and 38 inches around at about 5 ft. from the ground . I know that they are planted too close because they are starting to lean and I thought I would pick the straightest one and keep it and cut the other two down . Does that sound like a good idea ?

Yes, choosing the straightest and healthiest stem of the three trees in the cluster is definitely a sound choice.
