I have about 40 large white oak and cherry trees that I need to have removed, would a tree buyer be interested? And do they remove the stump also? Trees are all about 40 ft and taller.

Hi Jeff:

Assuming these white oak trees have some merchantable log length to them, you shouldn't have too much of an issue getting a licensed timber buyer interested (white oak market is still really, really good). Timber buyers and loggers are not going to remove the stumps, so that would be considered a "tree service" or "contractor" job specification.

Your best option is to contact a professional consulting forester to assist you with the marketing and administration of your timber sale:

Best of luck!
