Bolts have been screwed into large oak trees by deer hunters. Can the bolts be removed safely? Can something be sprayed into the hole to prevent insects, or is it better to just leave them in the tree?

Hi Dan:
Two Options: Leave them, or feel free to remove the large bolts screwed into your oak trees; no need to spray or plug the holes.
