My son sprayed the ground around 2 mature Honey Locust trees & it seems many of the leaves are turning brown....don’t know if weed killer affected trees or are they naturally losing their leaves (early August)? Product used full strength...,,Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer Extended Control.

Hi Marilyn:

There is a good chance that the herbicide applied by your son either drifted or volatilized during the application process or soon after.

Due to the fact that you reside in Arizona, I will refer you to your local Univ. of Arizona Extension office for any additional follow-up questions that you may have!

Best of luck!
