I had a large possibly 30 40 ft Siberian elm on my property which I recently removed. I have quite a few roots that are left over and some of them have sprouted new green leaves. Everything that I've read since you must kill this within 5 minutes of cutting the tree down and that energy can stand the roots for a year to two. I am open to suggestions and in need of help on how I can kill the remaining roots so that it does not come back. Please note, the stump has been removed from the ground already.
