We lived here 49 years. My neighbor has an oak that has never had acorns. We are close to woods but I am not sure there are other a orn trees around, why does this tree not bear acords.

Oddly enough, some oak trees (Quercus spp.) are just genetically predisposed to be poor producers or underperformers when it comes to producing acorns.
