I NEED TO KNOW THE PRICE PER FOOT OF BLACK WALNUT I WAS TOLD IT WAS SOME WHERE IN THE AREA OF TEN DOLLARS A FOOT I RECIENTLY ALLOWED ALOGGER TO HARVEST 1 TREE ON MY PROPERTY 90 INCHES IN DIA. APPROX 10 FEET OF STRAIGHT FOR 3000 DOLLARS DID I GET BURNED.

I have been hearing black walnut veneer prices in the neighborhood of $3-10/bf (2006 prices). Based on the individual specs you provided (assuming you meant 90 inches in circumference), your 10-foot log would have scaled approximately 360 BF (Doyle scale). Therefore, this particular timber buyer paid you $8.33/bf for this 10-foot walnut log -- a very good price!
