I own 4 acres north west of Leaf River Il. and I had a gentleman stop and ask me I would like to get rid of some oak and black walnut trees. I am wondering if there is a way I can find out how much these trees are worth and if removing 40 trees from my property will hurt the value of my property. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings Tyler:

You definitely want to contact an unbiased, third-party professional to assist you in determining the fair market value of these trees. In other words, you need to contact and hire an independent, professional consulting forester to assist you in marketing and selling a portion of your merchantable timber to the highest bidder.
