Case 4 - Introduction to the Concept

The goals of the fourth week are for the students to understand:

  • plant reproduction.

  • the importance of flowers

  • the pollination process.

  • the relationships between plant life and animal life in reproduction.

The objectives for the fourth week are for the students to:

  • Be able to identify at least three ways plants are able to reproduce.

  • Demonstrate a propagation technique.

  • Be able to direct and identify the parts of flowers.

There are four concepts for the week:

  • Understand flowers are made up of different parts.

  • Understand flowers need to be pollinated in order to make seeds.

  • Understand flowers attract insects and animals that aid in the pollination process.

  • To have a general knowledge that other plant structures can be used to start new plants.
