i have several amarilla bulbs that i have had for several years that do not bloom. every fall i let the leves dry and then cut them off. i then place the bulbs in a dark place till Jan or so and replant them. the leaves come back but only one of them blooms. i have tried leaving them in soil and removing them from soil, it makes no difference. any suggestions?

If the plant does not grow a large enough bulb, it will not have enough energy to flower. It is usually best to buy new ones every year.
