We started our plants from the seed stage. Planted in mid-june and now have plants that are very large but have no flower. What is going on? Are they lost, or is there still a chance they will produce?

Broccoli and other crucifers prefer the cooler temps of early spring. Mid-june is too late for a spring crop. If your plants continue to grow and last until cooler fall weather there is a chance that you will see those broccoli heads.

Broccoli that is intended for a fall crop is typically planted around the middle of July, so yours are pretty early. Maintain the moisture and manage the foliage feeding insects.
