New Grass

I'm going to overseed part of my yard the first week in September. Sometime this Fall I need to apply some soil sulfur and some slow-release nitrogen. How long should I wait after planting the new grass before I apply: 1. the soil sulfur, and 2. the nitrogen

Thanks.

I am wondering why you would want to add sulfur, unless your soil is very alkaline. Early September is a good time to over fertilize with a blend of 75% bluegrass and 25% ryegrass. I would also apply a starter fertilizer. In late October or early November, you might want to Make a fall fertilizer application.
