red berry shrub name

I am trying to identify a beautiful shrub that now has red berries, dark green leaves that are now turning color. I want to know the name & if it is poisonous to eat or touch. Thank you so much & God Bless.

Hello S.C ., From your clues of red berries and changing foliage color, you may be looking at a Red Chokeberry. To be sure you can take a photo or a sample to your local University Extension Office. If it is a Chokeberry, the berries are eaten by wildlife every year. Sincerely, Richard Hentschel
