Can this plant become a house plant once the cold weather hits ? Or will it still die & come back next year?

Dear Jeremie:

Corksrew rush is a plant that is hardy at least in zones 4-9. You can certainly grow this as a houseplant in a container that retains water since it is a marginal aquatic plant and the roots should never be allowed to dry out. Depending on your winter weather, it may survive and regrow next year. if you have several, bring a few indoors, leave the rest outside and have an experiment.

Hope this is helpful, Richard
