Got my wonderful end of season bargain home to find that it is actually two plants in the same container. They are approx. 18" T with the widest leaf on one plant 10" x 9." So, good size. Do I separate these? If so, when? Hard to imagine two of these plants in same container when they are 6-7' tall. Thank you.

Hello Carolyn, Unless you have idea growing conditions for the winter, consider waiting until next Spring to separate. Carefully tease them apart, preserving as much of the root system as you can for each one. If you find broken roots after the separation, prune just back from the break. Re-pot using a moistened mix similar to what they have been growing in or a high quality mix you are familiar with.
