My plant is 3 years and has done well. Suddenly, instead of the plant growing upward and stems are all growing horizontally. Can I cut them off or what shall I do?

You can cut the wayward stems off if it helps improve the appearance - doing so won't hurt the plant. Anothe option would be to pinch them back and/or provide some type of support i.e. stakes and twine to give a more upright appearance. This is a plant that needs bright light - as bright as light as possible in the home. So it could be that the stems are stretching because of that.
