I have recently dug up my iris bulbs. How long can I store them without planting them this fall? You see, we have our house for sale, and I'm afraid if I plant them now, If our house sells, I will have to leave them.

They really won't store for very long without drying out too much and shriveling. But faced with that situation, I would put them in boxes or shallow containers with peat moss or similar material. Keep them in a cool location. Hopefully your house will sell and you can plant them in a new garden spot.
