Browning of mature arborvitae

I have 10, 12 year old arborvitae that have been flourishing throughout the years; they have always been very hearty. This year I am noticing browning and leaf drop age starting at the bottom and seems to be traveling. There are animals around, as usual. This browning is affecting all the trees. Is there something I can do to stop the browning

Please check out the other threads on browning arborvitae posed under Trees and Shrubs for additional information. the basics would be to water well late into the season and consider feeding the evergreens next spring. Consider talking with your local extension office to get a better local focus on what has been happening to Arborvitae. Would expect this to be environmental as it has impacted all of your plants
