First off, I'd just like to acknowledge what a wonderful and informative page you have. My question is this, which state has the earliest harvest of a high quality bi-color sweetcorn and what would those approximate dates be. I've a rather large event planned in in the central US starting the end of July this year and running through early August and was just curios to know if there will be anything of good quality available anywhere in the US. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not aware of a listing of harvest dates by various states. The bulk of sweet corn harvest in the midwest is at the end of July going through August and into September. You should be able to find lots of high quality material anywhere in IL, IN, MO, WI, IA. The timing for availability is very dependent on when it is planted. The quality is at the mercy of the weather as well.
