What choices are there in controlling wild strawberry growing in lawns?

Wild strawberries are a dicot plant, same as other broadleaved weeds in the lawn and should be managed the same way. A few of them could be mechanically removed. If a spray treatment is warranted, a phenoxy compound could be used over the larger area or used as a spot treatment. Products containing glysphosate as non selective material cold also be a choice. This will control the grass as well and should ONLY BE USED as a spot treatment . Creating an environment that encourages your turf to out compete weeds will also be important.
