Hello folks -- As I get older, I'm growing fewer plants from seed under the lights. So -- instead of purchasing a bag of seed starting mix, I want to make my own smaller quantity. I need your advice -- I trust you all more than the Internet!!

Seed starting mixes are usually a combination of finely milled sphagnum peat moss and perlite or similar combinations. You can make your own, but by the time you purchase the components I don't think you'll be saving any money. My advice is to stick with the commercial packages.
