suitable small tree for backyard

I have a small backyard with full sun and occasional standing water spots after significant rain. I would like to plant a small tree for screening and a bit of shade. Due to space restrictions it cannot exceed 20 feet in width and about 30 feet in height. Any suggestion? Thanks!
