18 Newly bought green giant arborvitae. beautiful plants when purchased. 6 to 7 footers. Planted in somewhat shady area which i know they normally do well in. watering every other day and ground around and beneath is moist. Too Moist maybe? Is over watering an issue.. Don't see any bugs..Could it be fungus??? As I said beautiful first 2 weeks , then....Also plants have new growth also with brown tips...

Probably not a fungus. Watering every other day could be the problem. The soil and root ball are probably not drying out that fast unless you've had excessively hot weather, which I don't think you've had. And with them being 6-7 feet tall, they should've had a pretty good size root ball. The problem could be exacerbated by the type of soil (heavy soil holds more water) and/or the ability for the water to drain from that site. Hold off on watering, and only water once a week unless you've had sufficient rainfall. You might need to check and see how moist the soil is before watering. The new growth is a good sign - so hopefully the tree is getting adjusted.
