Viburnum Judii

The disease that killed one of my Judd viburnum last year is now killing another. After flowering, which seemed normal, the edges of the leaves on some branches started to curl up. Then the leaves turned brown, and the branch died. The disease moved from branch to branch until the shrub was dead.

The same symptoms appeared this year on the shrub next to the one that died. I had 4 shrubs. Can this be treated? If so, how?

The symptoms you describe can be attributed to many things from disease to abiotic problems including the site where they are planted. It sounds like something internal, such as Verticillium wilt, which is a systemic disease, but that is only a guess. If it is Verticillium wilt, there is no control other than removing the infected plants. But it could be due to something else, so correct diagnosis would be the first step. You may need to have a local nursery or landscape company take a look so they can see the damage firsthand.
