I've had a horrible outbreak of red thread in my lawn. It was far out of control before I figured out the problem. My question is 2 part, with it being Aug and the damage done, when do I apply a fungicide that will actually help my situation? I'm interested in using organic fungicide, do you know of good results from Thiophanate?

Red thread is usually a concern from April through July impacting older cultivars of Kentucky blue grass, Ryegrass and fine fescues. Lawns with low fertility also can promote Red Thread. Fungicides need to be applied BEFORE any symptoms appear and repeated per label instructions. Thiophanate-methyl, propiconazole, and myclobutanil are labeled but are not organic. I am not aware there are any organic control measures for Red thread or pink patch
