Something is eating my plants. the stems are bit off at the tips. They are trellised and are about 3 feet high and more. What could it be? An insect or animal? We have much wild life in the yard at nite, skunk, deer, raccoon, and who knows what else? The tips are very blunt, as if cut with a knife... Help!!! Thanks

My guess is that it is something like deer. They typically avoid plants like cucumbers and melons because of the fuzzy leaves but maybe the new growth is just tender enough. It's too high for rabbits. The only complete way to keep out animals is with a fence.
