I have 11 Giant Arborvitae's of which 4 are turning brown from the top to 3/4 down. One is completely gone. They are located among large trees and hard to get water too. The drought has been tough, will watering them wring them back

Once a plant dies or dies back those branches will remain so. Every tree is competing for the same soil moisture. any cultural practices you can to conserve moisture would help. Mulching, even supplying water with a 5 gallon bucket during the worst weather can make a huge difference Building a berm to contain the water ensures the evergreen gets it all. Focus on the ones that are healthier, letting the others go as water them may not be productive
