pls help! I replanted 3 burning bushes last summer (given to me by a neighbor)..Two are thriving but one looks awful. Leaves dried up..there are several branches with live leaves but they also are wilting. I didn't cover all the roots when replanting as I ran out of energy :) -- could this be the reason? Should I just get a huge pile of dirt and cover it up? Should I add an food? Thanks! Wish I could post pics here as I have them.

From the images sent off line of this system, yes, covering the roots as soon as possible and providing water is the best approach. You will have to wait and see how well the plant survives the winter as it is quite stressed right now. Water all of them regualry until it is time to take the hose off the spigot for the winter. Providing a winter windbreak can also help lessen the moisture loss.
