When I began to repot my Boston fern I saw that it seems to be growing mostly from 3 "branches?" with the fronds at the tops. Will it grow again from the bottom if I repot it? ...and should I cut these stalks? Thank you

It sounds like the plant perhaps lost its lower fronds for whatever the reason. Not sure if you have already repotted it, but you could place the stalks - or crowns - just a bit lower in the pot. If you repotted them at the level that they were previously at, they will not regrow from those areas.
