I have a hydrangea (not sure of the type) that is growing into another hydrangea. Can I prune it without hurting the flowering and is so, how? Can it be transplanted and if so, when?

If the hydrogenate blooms on current year growth, pruning away branches will not harm next years bloom show.

Waiting until next spring to move allows the plant to overwinter with its entire root system and will survive the winter better. Dig up and move before growth begins
